Morpheus8 treatment involves the use of microneedles and radiofrequency to target the innermost layer of the skin. The treatment can produce notable skin tightening, fat lysis to targeted areas, anti-aging results. It is one of the best non-invasive wrinkle treatments that is most sought after.

How Does Morpheus8 Treatment Work? Morpheus8 is the latest skincare treatment that combines the magic of micro-needling with radiofrequency technology. The microneedles prick the skin and stimulate the healing response. This will start the collagen and elastin production in the skin which in turn leads to skin tightening and a more youthful look. As the microneedles do their work, simultaneously the radiofrequency energy concentrated on the skin heats the tissues and firms the skin.

How To Prepare for a Morpheus8 Treatment? The Morpheus8 treatment is non-invasive but there are some pre-treatment instructions to follow.

2 Weeks Before Treatment: For darker skin, please reach out to start a tyrosine inhibitor to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. For history of Herpes simplex on face, please reach out to start anti-viral. This would be the best time to start avoiding the sun. Avoid getting tanned or sunburned. Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and use extra protection like sun hats and more. Having a sunburn can further irritate the skin during the treatment. Avoid getting skincare treatments like professional peels and microdermabrasion.

A Week Before Treatment: To avoid the risks of bruising, stop taking blood thinners one week before your Morpheus8 treatment appointment. The blood thinners to avoid include Motrin, Aleve, Ibuprofen and Aspirin (NSAIDs). Taking these medications can intervene with the natural blood clotting mechanism of the body which is needed during the procedure. It is also advisable to stop taking certain supplements a week before treatment. It would be better to get the advice of your dermatologist regarding this. When there is exactly one week to the treatment, it is time to avoid using topical products with active ingredients in your skincare routine. Avoid activities like waxing, bleaching, scrubbing and more that can irritate your skin.

2 Days Before Treatment: Avoid alcohol. Alcohol consumption dehydrates the skin which is not ideal for the treatment. Excessive intake of alcohol can also cause bleeding.

On the Day of Treatment: You can shower but avoid using creams or lotions. Avoid using topical substances like skincare products and makeup in the area to be treated. Wash your face before applying the numbing cream.
